This is something I never quite understood, as everything created by human beings is always political.flame gun for the cute oneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06105494192400149730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904411846518028465.post-35366459427775875532009-02-28T05:45:00.000+10:302009-02-28T05:45:00.000+10:30Thank you. I think the government(s) are obviously confused by it.?http://www.blogger.com/profile/01992276117548193938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904411846518028465.post-57928405200547169422009-02-28T04:32:00.000+10:302009-02-28T04:32:00.000+10:30I feel that by only getting glimpses and anecdotal...I feel that by only getting glimpses and anecdotal evidence of the crisis, it is impossible to really say how bad it is, how long it will last and how dire the consequences will be. I completely agree with you that the integration leads to a spiral effect, and that it is particularly difficult to find recipes on the level of the nation states when everything is so interconnected - but on the other hand this is also one of the reasons why I am pretty sure that it will not lead to a new rise of nationalism like as in the 1930s. Cooperation is going to be an essential part of finding a solution. As to the question of the "new economy" - I think this isn't just about a new economy, it is about how nation states will look in the future, this is probably even bigger than we now see. A new paradigm indeed. I've argued before that this will probably speed the power shift to emerging economies like China and India. I'm a bit afraid now that this will have even graver effects on Europe than on the United States, at least this seems to be the most recent development.flame gun for the cute oneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06105494192400149730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-904411846518028465.post-17558417942221262352009-02-27T22:40:00.000+10:302009-02-27T22:40:00.000+10:30On a totally related subject, just how long do you...On a totally related subject, just how long do you think the emergence of the new economy will take? Secondly, something tells me the tighter the integration the greater the spiral effect in the event of the problem repeating itself in the future. I have alwyas believed the recipes can only lead tonothing but dissaster in the long run since we have never been here before. This is an entirely new paradigm having been confronted with the failure of the previous models.

Or what do you think??http://www.blogger.com/profile/01992276117548193938noreply@blogger.com
