AAA holy moly

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA – 3x20 CROSSROADS PART 2

I've heard the term "mindblowing" attached to this episode one time too often, so this episode may not disappoint me.

THERE ARE HUGE SPOILERS FROM HERE ON, SO PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER. I HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE CUTS YET. AND YOU REALLY, REALLY SHOULDN'T READ ANY SPOILERS OF THIS EPISODE. IT'S NOT WORTH IT, WATCH IT FIRST.

I also just realized that those people who were affected by the "radio" and went mad last episode might be the final five. Yes, Dualla. Yes, Tigh. But what about my favourites, Roslin and Starbuck? On the other hand, Starbuck might be something else entirely, right?
WE start with the estranged father who has lost his mind at some point between the arrest and the beginning of Baltar's trial. He cuts himself while shaving. "But if you cut us, do we not bleed?". But I no longer believe that any of the Adama's might be Cylons. Especially not those who nurture a secred love affair with the President, who is lying down feeling sleepy. I guess that has something to do with the cancer, has it not?
Tyrol is also very high up on the list, especially now that we know that he hears voices too. I thought him a Cylon from the beginning, that would be perfect, taking how everyone assumed that Hera was THE baby, but it might just be Callie's kid.
Anders is drowning his feelings of sorrow with Roslin's assistant. He can go to hell, but he might just leave the assistant behind. Did anybody notice that he and Starbuck got matching tatoos? I did not. I want Starbuck back. I want Starbuck to have matching tatoos with someone else. The assistant also hears noises. But to whom did Xenabot have to say sorry to?
I want Racetrack to play a bigger role in the future. She's hot. Ah, anyway.
Baltar is not very happy with his two lawyers idea to go for a mistrial. He wants a verdict.
Felix lies at the trial and says that Gaius happily signed the death list (in fact, he was threatened and nearly willing to die over the matter). How ironic that this is the place where poor suffering Gaeta can finally get his revenge over the man he failed to kill.
Then, the defense calls Lee as a witness, asks whether Adama had questioned Baltars right to a trial. He does not want to answer, naturally, and questions the entire system of justice. But does he himself believe? Of course he does. Because everybody does, and he believes that Baltar is not guilty (of what precisely?). Since everybody else was forgiven, why wasn't Baltar? Because they need somebody to be guilty. Because they need a scapegoat. Then Lee tells of all his own sins, when he shot down the Olympic Carrier, when he left New Caprica. Man, must he feel guilty! Has anybody realized how much Lee felt like a coward, like a traitor, over the last months?
"on a vote of three to two, not guilty"- Surprise. Does that make him a free man? Where will we go from here?
I wonder what Roslin and Adama are going to do about this situation. They both know he is a traitor. Adama says they have to look to the future. Roslin, who has so little of it, does not seem to agree. Then, Adama decides to return to the Nebula.
Something goes wrong. After the jump, the Galactica is without energy. Chaos. Those of the crew who hear the noises completely lose it (Anders, Tyrol, the assistant, Tigh). By the way, where's Helo? Where's Mrs Agathon? IT looks like an ecstasy-trip. The final five: guess what. They find each other on the ship. They realize it, slowly. Tigh, The assistant, Tyrol, Anders. Someone is missing. Guess who that might be? I have an idea who has been missing from the ship lately. BUT: see. Tyrol and Sharon, they found each other. Anders and Starbuck, they found each other. Anders and the assistant, the same. WE'RE CYLONS!
AND I WAS RIGHT! APART FROM MY GUESS THAT ROSLIN MIGHT BE; BUT I WAS RIGHT!
The music! ITS FUCKING ROCKNROLL. Wheweh.
Tigh makes the decision that he will always be an officer, and so do the others. Tory. All Ts. Hah.

THERE MUST BE SOME WAY OUTTA HERE. SAID THE JOKER TO THE THIEF: THERE's TOO MUCH CONFUSION. I CAN GET NO RELIEF. BUSINESS MEN THEY DRINK MY WINE. Yes. It's all along the watchtower. What a moment. What timing. What genius. Lee is out with his viper. Guess what he'll find? An old friend? A new friend? Kara knows where she leads her loved ones. HI LEE: I've been to earth. I know where it is. And I'm gonna take us there. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Holy moly. And holy, what an interpretation. Starbuck has been to earth, and she brought the greatest piece of art she could find, which was a crappy techno-cover of a really good song. Yup. TIME TRAVEL. But time isn't linear. So the nebula works as some kind of wormhole, connecting different places and times, but therefore also provides the setting for what the Cylons refer to as "what happened will happen again". It's a circle in which humans and cylons are trapped, so in the end, they create EACH OTHER. And that is the whole point of the show.

BUT HEY, if Starbuck is something else entirely, maybe the force that connects past and present and therefore some kind of prophet, the fifth Cylon hast got to be someone else. Now, there might be different theories about it, but I think I'll go for the one involving Callie: BECAUSE Cylons seem to be attracted to each other, completely automatically. The Chief went for Callie all of a sudden because she's one of the final five too, and therefore, the baby is not a hybrid, and Hera is the only true one existing. That would make sense. But why wasn't Callie in the room with the others?
