Caprica: 1x05 Know Thy Enemy.
This is going to be short for I am preoccupied with something else, obviously.
- The Graystones are enjoying their new-found popularity: The board is congratulating Daniel on his new business model, and Amanda hasn't been called "Terror-Mom" today.
- Thomas Vergis, who invented the chip Daniel had stolen to build his prototype, is out for revenge: Not just for the theft of his intellectual property, but because Sam killed two of his Tauron guards, who he regarded as brothers.
- Vergis wants to buy the Buccaneers. Not because they are successful, but because Daniel loves them, and he knows that he can't really turn him down, because he needs the money to try and make the chip work for more than just the prototype.
- We meet Barnabas, who is Clarice's rival within the STO and takes a very different approach. He is possibly to blame for the terror attacks on Caprica, while she is still trying to find out what Zoe's project was.
- She calls Amanda who invites her over to drop off some of Zoe's books. They bond over booze (are they from the same planet?), and eventually Amanda shows Clarice Daniel's lab, where she promptly calls Zoe a "fracking ugly monster". Clarice steals Zoe's program with which they might be able to recreate her avatar.
- Clarice's plan: "“And then I can hand them something glorious, an afterlife that we can see and touch."
- Barnabus (James Marsters, reminding everybody that he's actually American, not British) likes pain, but doesn't want to help Lacy getting Zoe's "package" offworld (the package is the Cylon, but Lacy doesn't tell him that). Later he's angry at Keon for bringing her to him.
- Zoe gives Philomon, the geeky techie, an online date with "Rachel", a geeky girl with glasses who falls down in front of him. He immediately falls in love with her. I'm not sure yet what Zoe wants from him, but they have a very twisted thing going on (especially when Daniel walks in on Philamon basically flirting with the robot, while smoking a cigarette).
- Zoe's dress when she's playing Rachel looks like the thing Naomi wears in the loveball scene.
- Sorry, got sidetracked there.
